The Scorpion 2 by Snugpak is designed and modeled after the Scorpion 3. The major difference between the two is the size. The Scorpion 2 has a smaller profile and is very sleek. Just as with the Scorpion 3, this design helps the Scorpion 2 to fend off those fierce winds that kick up from time to time and still is built and designed for long-term hard use. With its 5000 mm PU coated fly it can handle large amounts of rain keeping you and your gear dry as it should be.

Snugpak's lightest 2 person tent, the Scorpion 2 IX is a sleek angled compact two-person tent. It is a 'Fly-First' pitch tent that allows a quick and easy set-up with an opposing pole design, that keeps condensation build-up to a minimum. The inner tent is made of a No-See-Um mosquito net to keep out bugs, snakes, etc. The Scorpion 2 IX will shelter you from the worst four-season weather, it has a 5000mm hydrostatic head (HH) polyurethane (PU) coated flysheet, with taped seams.
